Description
Kalpasi or Pathar ka Phool, a paper-thin spice imparts a woody or earthy flavor to the dish. It is used in meat
dishes such as Galouti kabab, nihari, biryani and is also used in Chettinad cuisine. This spice is also an
ingredient in garam masala and potli masalas.
This is found mostly at the temperature of the northern and southern hemispheres. It is not grown in the
air-polluted area. Health benefits include being an anti-inflammatory agent. It is said to be good for the skin

Uses of Stone Flower-

The paste of stone flower is applied to the forehead to get relief from headache and areas affected by skin

Cold infusion of stone flower is given in a dose of 40-50 ml to treat diarrhea, thirst and anorexia.

Dried powder of stone flower mixed with honey and given to treat cough and asthma.

Decoction of stone flower is given in a dose of 50-60 ml mixed with cumin powder and sugar candy to treat
kidney stones and burning micturition.

Cold infusion of this herb is given in a dose of 40-50 ml to treat fever and to strengthen the heart muscles.
